Thank you for your interest in the Hands for Holly Memorial Fund's 2nd  talent competition. FAQs are listed below. Talent registration is free, and you are entering for a prize pool of $3,000 and a contract with Evolution Talent Agency!

Finalists will be announced February 1, 2022. 

Winners will be announced during the LIVE event on February 25, 2022.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the prizes for the talent show winners?

KPMG has generously offered a prize pool of $3,000 to be divided among the finalists. The Judge's Choice Champion will also receive an offer to be signed by Evolution Talent Agency, which is a top southeast talent agency that represents models and actors of all ages for print, television, feature films, and much more

Are there any restrictions on the types of acts that can participate?

No pyrotechnics, fire or fireworks; no weapons; and no foul or offensive language. This is a family event and all material, costumes, props and music must be appropriate for all ages and members of the public. Please see the talent show rules for further details.

Who can participate in the talent show?

Any child or young adult, up to age 26, who lives in the United States and who has recieved any cancer diagnosis at any time within his/her life.

Where and when are the elimination rounds taking place?

October 15, 2021 - December 15, 2022 We will accept the first 50 talent act registrations. January 1, 2022 The semi-finalists will be announced on the HFH website February 1, 2022 The finalists will be announced on the HFH website. February 25, 2021 at 6:45 p.m. - EST The winners will be announced during the live virtual event. The competition will be conducted virtually and the finanlists will be asked to submit a pre-recorded introduction of themeselves. We will guide you through this process.

Who are the judges?  How are winners determined?

Our judges consist of five (5) celebrity volunteers. Feel free to read their bios here. The judges will decide on finalists and the Judges' Champion. The voting public will decide on the People's Choice Champion, and the 3rd, 4th, and 5th place winners during the live event on Friday, February 25, 2022. The placings by the voting public will be determined by the number of votes cast by the audiance.

What if I don’t like the decision of the judges?

The decisions of the judges are final. This is a fun, family-friendly event whose purpose is to raise money to help families in need.

What criteria will be used to judge my act?

Each judge is given a rubric to determine a score for every act. The areas being evaluated are: Preparation

  • Memorized
  • Brought props, music, or other necessities
  • Well-rehearsed
Delivery/Quality In tune singing/playing, polished dance moves, quality acting No/few mistakes Skill impressive for age. Stage Presence
  • Confident
  • Serious about act
  • Comfortable performing
  • Engages the "audience"
  • Touches to make the act “special”
  • Dress, appearance

How do I enter the talent show?

Hands for Holly will accept the first 100 qualified registration forms that are received between September 15, 2020 - October 31, 2020. Please find the talent registration form below. All required aspects of the form must be completed, and you must meet the eligibility guidelines to be approved as a candidate for the show. Please acquaint yourself with the rules of the event. What are the talent show rules?

Is it free to enter the talent show?

Yes! We will not be collecting credit card information nor will we require payment of any kind to submit a registration and enter the talent show.

What video recording tips can you offer?

Here are some helpful tips to review before making your online video: 1. Shoot your video in a bright/well-lit setting. We want ot be able to see you! 2. Do not use auto-tune apps. 3. Only submit on the Vimeo platform. The basic plan is free! 4. Check your video before submitting it and make sure the audio can be heard clearly. 5. Keep it short - a 2-3 minutes video should do the trick! 6. You are welcome to sing with a backing track as long as we can hear your voice clearly. 7. Do not submit a highly edited video, sizzle reel or video with highly processed vocals. Have fun and GOOD LUCK!
