Zachary is a joyful 13-year-old boy who was diagnosed with Leukemia-AML in September 2019.
Unfortunately, he unexpectedly relapsed in 2020.
Along with chemotherapy treatments, he also needed a transplant.
He lives at home with his mother, stepdad, and his half-sister who is two-years-old. Zachary’s mother is a nurse who is only able to work part-time in order to care for Zachary. His stepfather has been out of work due to an injury, but will hopefully be able to return soon.
However, the lack of income that the family is receiving is making it difficult for them to pay bills, and they have very little savings to fall back on.
With the assistance of the Hands for Holly Memorial Fund, a grant was provided to Zachary’s family to assist with their rent and utilities while the family focuses on his care.
