One Year, Two Brain Surgeries: Meet Landon

Updated: Mar 24

Landon, who is wise beyond his years, was diagnosed with Astrocytoma earlier this year at eight years old.

Soon to follow were two brain surgeries: one to remove the cancer tumors and another to clear out a staph infection that had developed.

In order to care for Landon during his treatment, his mother had to take four months off of work and is now only able to work part-time. Landon admits it has been a pretty tough year.

With the assistance of the Hands for Holly Memorial Fund, a grant was provided to Landon’s mom to assist with car payments, utility bills, and to cover the cost of his holiday gifts.

"The act of kindness Hands for Holly has shown us brings tears because without them, it wouldn’t have been possible to get through the holidays,” says Landon’s mom.
