Dominic was diagnosed with Diffuse Large B Cell Lymphoma in March 2020 at age 5.
His parents are concerned about exposing him to anything due to his treatment lowering his immune system, and more-so now with COVID-19.
Dominic's father works on houses doing framing, and his mother is a receptionist at a primary care physician’s office. They are taking as many precautions as they can, which means they both stopped working in late spring. His mother will stay out indefinitely to be his primary caretaker while his father will start picking up contract work when he can.
With the assistance of the Hands for Holly Fund, a grant was provided to Dominic’s family and was immediately issued to help with their auto loan, car insurance, and utility payments while their family focuses on Dominic's care.
Dominic’s mother shared a heartfelt thank you with us:
“Words cannot begin to express the overwhelming gratitude of my family for what you have made possible. To be able to sit by my son’s side and only have him on my mind not only relieves the mommy stress of the chaos of the outside world, but also relieves my mind to place my cares solely on my son’s fight and his survival. The impact is far beyond financial, it's peace of mind in a time where your mind is everywhere. I thank you, my family thanks you.”
